On October 7 - 9th, the longest horned cattle will be honored and celebrated with a banquet dinner & awards ceremony. This is the biggest gathering of the most prominent Longhorn breeders from across all corners of the US. It's an opportunity to showcase the individual success of the different breeding programs within the industry. There will be a number of categories for the Championship including: measuring Tip to Tip, measuring Total Horn and measuring Complete Horn. The categories will include divisions for all age groups. There will also be award categories for sires and dams that produce the most horn in offspring. All of this will culminate with the selection of the Ultimate Longhorn Bull & Ultimate Longhorn Female. This award will be selected by the vote of breeders in attendance rather than judges.
All events held at the Choctaw Casino & Resort and Event Center A dinner and awards banquet will be held on Friday, October 8th.
